Ease Into Sleep with this Body Position [Video]
In this video I offer a practical exercise for transitioning into sleep mode. This exercise, called Nyi Ma Kug Pa, is an additional exercise in Lu Jong.
We shouldn’t be surprised that it can be challenging to switch from our usual “go, go, go” mode with its constant inputs directly into sleep.
We need to help our body and mind and energy make this transition.
So, if you ever find it hard to quiet that stream of thoughts and slow down your nervous system, I invite you to get into this body position for 5 minutes and breathe slowly.
Think of it like a runway to sleep :)

There is a kind of compassion described in Tantrayana Buddhism called “Substance Compassion.”
It is literally a substance in your body that, when unlocked, results in compassion. So what is compassion then? A feeling? A way of being? Our natural state?
Lots of avenues to explore here!
